About this place
Situated on the 1 floor of Hankyu Ooi Food Hall, Koichian is a dedicated takeout counter offering an extensive array of portable sushi. The display features Western Japan–style pressed sushi, rolls, and brightly arranged chirashizushi boxes, making it a handy stop for an everyday lunch, an accompaniment to evening drinks, or an uncomplicated takeaway meal.
Much of the appeal lies in the boxed assortments showcasing traditional Kansai-style combinations. Choices like the Assorted Osaka Sushi, Assorted Naniwa Sushi, and Assorted Hako-Sukeroku allow diners to select a box tailored to their preferences.
Sushi roll options are equally substantial, led by the hefty Uzushio-maki as well as the Anago Jomaki conger eel roll and Salad Maki. Scattered-topping bowls like the colorful Aya Chirashi, Shrimp Chirashi, and Conger Eel Chirashi, along with easy-to-snack gomoku inari and petite sesame koinari, fit naturally into casual home dining.
The counter does not have dine-in seating and operates strictly for takeout, with credit card payments accepted. Stopping by while running errands or on the commute home makes it easy to bring authentic sushi back to the table.
